A "Did You Know?" kind of coffee is in store this morning ...

When you think of concussions in athletics, most people will naturally think of football.

And football has had its share of concussions at the University of Georgia, with the totals varying year to year.

"We've had a year we had as low as three," UGA sports medicine director Ron Courson said. "And we've had a year we've been in the high teens."

The past season's team suffered nine total concussions.

But that actually was not the highest rate of a sport on campus.

Would you believe the higher rate was in ... Cheerleading?

Yes, cheerleading is routinely one of the more dangerous sports when it comes to head injuries, according to experts on the topic.

"Our leading sports in terms of concussion in Georgia are obviously, football, soccer is one, equestrian and what surprises a lot of people is cheerleading," Courson said. "Actually, we've had more concussions in cheerleading this year so far than any other sport."

Well, there's college football on the tube late tonight.

BYU is at Boise State in a game that will start at 9 p.m. on ESPN.
