Dawgs add '14 commit

Georgia has been looking for defensive backs to add to the '14 class, and now the Bulldogs have landed one.

Defensive back Dominick Sanders of Tucker (Ga.) High School committed to UGA on Monday night, he told Dawgs247's Rusty Mansell.

"I'm excited it's over," Sanders said. "I feel like it's a good place for me."

The 5-foot-11, 187-pound Sanders accepted a recent offer to become the 18th commitment to Georgia's 2014 signing class, which is expected to be finalized next week. He said he could play safety or cornerback at Georgia.

Sanders emerged as a late prospect in Georgia's 2014 recruiting efforts. He committed nine days ago to UCF but was receiving late interest from Missouri and Auburn, which he visited this past weekend.

The younger brother of former UGA cornerback and recent Baylor signee Chris Sanders, Dominick was targeted by new Bulldogs defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt.

"I knew about him at Florida State. I knew his personality. I just knew a lot about him at FSU," Sanders said of Pruitt.

Asked what he'll bring to Georgia, Sanders replied "A lot of heart."
