So here we go ...
The place is far from packed, but it has filled in a bit as tip-off gets closer. There are maybe a few thousand in the seats. It's probably as good a crowd as there has been during the non-conference without elementary school kids being bused in here.

Not the best start for Bulldogs. Southern Cal with a quick bucket and then a 3 to take a 5-0 lead.

Southern Cal 5, Georgia 4
15:46/1st
Brantley and then Florveus are first off the bench for UGA in first four minutes. Neither offense really setting things on fire, but liking what I'm seeing from Charles Mann. Good energy on both ends, and he rebounds. I do believe he's going to be a good player.

i love watching dawgs basketball, but man, watching our offense is as painful as a root canal sometimes.

They've got three guys on the roster at least 7-foot.
They've also got transfer Renaldo Woolridge, who you may remember from the Bruce Pearl era at Tennessee.

Agreed. Mann, Morris, and Gaines have shown nice glimmers for the future.
Our inside play, however, reminds me of a DIII team most of the time.

Sloppy game so far. And there's a big difference in fouls to this point. USC had six compared before the first foul was whistled for UGA, which missed five of its first six shots but opened 5-of-6 from the foul line.

10:39/1st
Kenny Gaines comes in, airballs a 3 and then comes right back and shoots again, making the next one. Bulldogs still shooting very poorly though. Right now, they're at 2-for-11 from field and 1-of-5 from 3.
