ATHENS, Ga. -- Miller Grove small forward Brandon Morris committed to join UGA's 2012 basketball class on Monday, according to his high school coach Sharman White.
Morris, a 6-foot-7 prospect, who is being recruited by UGA as a small forward, visited Athens this past weekend. He chose the Bulldogs over a number of interested schools, most notably Auburn and Arkansas.
"I think they mapped out a plan and he felt like it was a good plan both on and off the court," White said. "He just felt comfortable there."
Morris plans to sign in November, according to White. He becomes UGA's third commitment in 2012, joining guards Kenny Gaines and Charles Mann.
"They're getting a versatile player," White said. "I know people use the word 'potential,' but he has it. He's a very versatile player, can play different positions."
Attempts to reach Morris were unsuccessful, but here is an article on Morris from earlier this year.
