HOOVER, Ala. -- SEC media voted Georgia as its projected winner of the SEC East and LSU as the projected 2012 SEC champion during the conference's media days this week.
The Bulldogs received 132 first-place votes in the East to finish ahead of South Carolina, which received 72. It was the first time since 2004 that UGA was voted first in the East by the league's media.
