breaking news: mitch hyatt has committed to ole miss.
no seriously, thanks rusty. obviously an important prospect for us, and i hope we can sell him on playing in a pro-style offense in the SEC and on staying in-state to play for the hometown dawgs!

No, first he will commit to Clemson... then silent to UGA two weeks before signing day after we lead all senior year. Lazy Ole Miss comes in at the end and steals...

when people bring up that the state of georgia is a melting pot and has so many schools around them.... this is what they are talking about.
kid's uncle played at clemson and he grew up cheering for them. its not a slam dunk deal to clemson, but its going to be an uphill battle. sure he's 'from the state of georgia' but that doesn't mean much when the family is from elsewhere and have connections to elsewhere.
hope we can pull him, but won't be surprised if he chooses clemson.

Why is it that you see the name of almost every coach in America, except anyone from UGA, that has visited Hyatt within the past month? I am starting to see a pattern whereby we are late to the party on most of these blue chip in-state prospects. Could possibly have something to do with the fact that most are now leaving the state.
