Yes, Georgia's team did practice Saturday morning.
It was a two-hour affair in helmets and shoulder pads, and you didn't hear a whole lot about it because it was completely closed to the media and there were no interviews afterward.
Perhaps the only real tidbit was this Mark Richt comment provided by UGA Sports Communications: "The defense seemed to be much more interested in winning today than the offense."
OK, fair enough.
But before anyone goes crazy with offensive concern based on one day, you should know that Mike Bobo sounds pretty dang pleased with where his unit it as right now.
"I actually think we're ahead of last year in preparation," Bobo said Friday. "I've mentioned it a few times. I feel like everybody is on the same page, a lot less missed assignments. I feel good."
Less missed assignments?
"Just experience, number one, experience at the quarterback position," Bobo said. "Guys have been able to get us in the right play, which cuts down on missed assignments for offensive linemen. When you get in the right play, you don't have to practice against so many different looks and how to block every look. You're only going to block certain looks, because you're not going to run them against the bad looks."
About the quarterbacks, Bobo added that quarterback Christian LeMay is still being considered third-string (despite those plans to redshirt Hutson mason)
"Like I've said and like Coach Richt has said," Bobo said, "Hutson Mason is the No. 2 guy. Christian is trying to get ready to play if called upon. ... The other two guys have performed better at this point. LeMay has done a good job, but I feel really good about the top two guys."
ON THE AGENDA

Seth Emerson of the Macon Telegraph has a strong feature story on Jarvis Jones.
The AJC has five UGA players to watch.
And Marc Weiszer of the Athens Banner-Herald previews Georgia's defense for this season.
Meanwhile, the special section by the Knoxville News-Sentinel didn't mince words on what's at stake for Derek Dooley this year.
