For Georgia's coaches and players, the offseason has been reduced to one more weekend.
Everyone will get a final dose of free time before preseason camp gets started Tuesday. Georgia's first practice, however, will be until Thursday.
Mark Richt explains ...
"Unfortunately, our camp starts while final exams are going on academically," Richt said. "So even though we'll have a dinner on the 31st (of July), we're not going to keep them long at all, because they'll have to get ready for some exams. On the 1st (of August), we'll do a crack of dawn run for a conditioning test. Then we won't see them again until 8 or 9 o'clock at night to make sure they have all that time for academics.
"It won't be until the 2nd that we're actually going to be freed up to start our practices."

Opening Ceremonies from London are tonight (well, actually they'll be at 4 p.m. Eastern, but NBC will televise them starting at about 7:30 p.m.).
