OK, I would imagine that by now some of you out there probably have heard how Georgia's senior right tackle Justin "Bean" Anderson got his nickname.
But it's new to me, and I found it a fitting story to relive in this morning's coffee (Get it, bean ... coffee ...?)
So take it away, Bean ...
"When I was born, I was probably about seven pounds, but I had a big head. When I came out, my granddad was like, 'That boy has a big head,' so he started calling me 'Beanhead.' To make a long story short, my granddad died when I was 10. He died in '98. But when I got about 8, he started calling me 'Bean.' He was like, 'You're getting a little too old for Beanhead.'
"After he died, my entire family, like if you go home with me, everybody in my family calls me Bean, all my friends, my brothers, sisters. Everybody in my hometown calls me Bean. So when I started getting recruited, my coaches were like, 'His name is Justin Anderson, but everybody calls him Bean.' So when I came up here, they were like, 'Bean,' and that's how everybody knows me as Bean now.
"There are some of my friends who don't know my real name. Seriously. But that's it. That's how I got that."
