For today's coffee, let's go back through Georgia's 2011 team statistics and pull out a few that might surprise you. Here goes ...

Did you know?

*** Kosta Vavlas (19) totalled more tackles last season than Cornelis Washington (17).

*** Chris Conley (16) caught more passes than Marlon Brown (15).

*** No Georgia running back had a carry of 30 yards or more last season. Only defensive players Brandon Boykin (80 yards) and Branden Smith (56) bested that mark.

*** Georgia's scoring advantage in each quarter peaked early and then dwindled sharply after halftime. The Dogs won the first quarter (107-27) and second (168-84) handily, but the third (92-80) was closer and opponents won the fourth (91-78).

*** Aaron Murray's pass efficiency rating dropped from 154.48 in 2010 to 146.41, which was still good enough to rank Murray 26th nationally and fourth in the SEC.

*** Georgia averaged 3.9 yards per carry. Opponents averaged 3.2.

*** Isaiah Crowell (850 yards) more than doubled any other ballcarrier in total yards, but Carlton Thomas (4.9) and Brandon Harton (4.7) had better YPC averages than Crowell (4.6).

*** The best YPC of a traditional running back was Alexander Ogletree, who averaged 12 yards on two carries. They were the lone carries by a UGA fullback all season.

*** Conley led Georgia's team in yards per reception at 18 (for those with more than two).

*** Tavarres King was the leading receiver (47-705), edging Malcolm Mitchell (45-665) and Orson Charles (45-574) in catches and yards.

*** Alec Ogletree finished seventh on the team in tackles with 52 (20 behind leader Shawn Williams' 72) despite playing barely half the season with only seven games and one quarter.

*** Four of Georgia's top six tacklers were defensive backs, but two of the top three were linebackers, with Jarvis Jones (70) and Michael Gilliard (65) ranking second and third.

** Brandon Boykin's 11 tackles for a loss were second only to Jarvis Jones (19.5).

*** Of Washington's 17 tackles, 5 were sacks. He was second on the team in that stat behind Jarvis Jones (13.5 sacks).

*** Drew Butler's 44.2-yard punt average (14th nationally, 3rd SEC) was nearly eight yards better than the team's net average of 35.8 yards (79th nationally, 10th SEC).

*** Blair Walsh missed 14 of his 35 field goal attempts and was 5-of-12 from 40-to-49 yards. He missed at least one field in 10 games (and that's not counting a miss waived off by a penalty in another game).

*** Georgia recovered 12 fumbles last season but returned only one.

*** The Bulldogs ran 1,016 offensive plays to their opponents' 870.

*** Penalties between sides were even. UGA had 86 penalties for 664, while opponents had 94 for 637.

*** Opponents scored 91 percent of the time in the red zone against Georgia.
