Thanks Gentry. Really appreciate you putting this together. And thanks to AD McGarity for taking the time to answer our questions.

Obviously, many posters aren't going to be happy with several of his answers, but you can see the McGarity oozes level-headedness. Its why he's in the position he's in.

I personally agree with him on the indoor practice facility. Its not 'need #1' at Georgia right now.

I totally disagree with him on the basketball program, but then again, he might just be giving good mid-season coach speak right there. After an SEC schedule where we go 4-14, he might speak differently about the direction of the program.

His answers to the drug policy is interesting. Sure seems like the door is cracked for the policy to change a little.

McGarity definitely knows where we are at competitively with other programs. Sounds like McGarity himself is hamstrung a little bit by the powers that are above him. The phrase 'its institutional decisions' stands out to me.

That's not really true. The schools McGarity listed are much higher. UGA falls pretty close in line with the next level of schools.

Bama, LSU, Texas, Clemson, and Auburn are above 3,900,000. Ohio State and Oregon are next at around 3,200,000.

Schools in the 8th-20th are within the range of 2,750,000-2,950,000

UGA was about 14th in assistant coaches pay in 2012 at 2,770,000.

UT was 150,000 higher. Ark was 150,000 lower.

Every game won't be in a controlled climate. Got to practice how you play.
