UGA defensive line signee John Atkins is planning to enroll in prep school at Hargrave Military this fall, the former Thomson standout confirmed Friday night to Dawgs247 by text message.
Atkins said he hopes to make it to UGA in January.
Big Atkins retook the ACT in June and fell just shy of the score needed to qualify academically for this fall.
He joins linebacker Leonard Floyd, who said the NCAA Clearinghouse did not approve a summer school class, which means he'll likely attend prep school this fall as well.
All other UGA signees from 2012 are currently enrolled in Athens and participating in offseason workouts.
