The Junkyard

We had a anonymous BBQ competition last season in Macon with Georgia Bob's, Fresh Air, Fincher's, Old Clinton, and Sticky Fingers. It was almost unanimous that Fincher's was the best. I was always partial to Fresh Air and swore by it. Kind of surprising that almost everybody was picking Fincher's, not that I don't like it, just wouldn't have guessed it.

Mickey Pigs in Alto is pretty darn good. If I'm in the mood for some Brunswick stew and 'nanner puddin I'm going to Fresh Air.

My father actually ran Finchers over twenty years ago. Actualy came fairly close to buying the one he ran. He has had over two decades to tinker with all their recipes from the sauce to the stew. As much as I love BBQ that man has about ruined me, as his is still the best I've had.

This kills me...not much good BBQ in Seattle. One place called Stan's in Issaquah. Well I should say the best comes from my smoker!

This thread inspired me to grab some "Butt Hutt" this afternoon and "lawd a' mercy" it was even better than i remembered! Got a pound of pork, a quart of stew and a quart of chicken mull. The chicken mull is possibly the best ive ever tasted in my whole life. The stew is exactly the way i like it and the pork just melts in your mouth. We got some bannana pudding too, but my wife and i were too full to try it so ill let yall know. Didnt realize it before, but this place has won best bbq in Athens two years running and i think Fox Sportssouth voted it best bbq in the sec. It is definitely the real deal though.
