Boykin said during a conference call with Philly media that Vinny Curry, DE from Marshall and the Eagles' 2nd-round pick, was a good friend of his.
Turns out, Curry was actually in the room during the call and hopped on there, surprising Boykin.

Hey guys, I know that Boykin is a stud based off the game against us and I'm also a huge Eagles fan so I was very happy to see this pick. I wanted to ask how you all think he will fit into the system in Philly? They need DBs so he will certainly get his chance. Also Do anyone of you know much about Fletcher Cox? I knew he was an SEC player so I figured there was a chance. Thanks and good luck this year.

the Eagles got a steal in Boykin in my opinion. He would have shined at the combine with his leaping ability and overall athletisism. He broke his leg in the senior bowl and missed all the workouts at the combine and UGA's pro-day. There's no way some of the corners who went ahead of him turn out better than him. I'd say he's a 4.5 speed guy, I've heard stories of ridiculous dunk contests between him and AJ last year. All scouts had on him was 3 years of starting SEC film and since he had no chance to workout in shorts & a t shirt, he fell 2 rounds (imo).
