Hell I got downvoted just for stating the number of scholarship players we're down to, so don't feel bad.

He had a major knoee injury as a HS senior and therefore was considered something of a health-related longshot, a la Brent Benedict. We signed him back when Willie was running the 4-3 and we desperately needed DEs. His strength as a HS junior was his speed off the corner, and so we hoped he could be a speed pass-rusher once he became healthy. Unfortunately, he had other injuries which hampered much of his hard work.

We're recruiting much better overall talent and depth now. I wish him well but have to believe this is a sign of a much-improved situation on D as much as anything else.
