Terms of Mark Richt's new contract as UGA's football coach will mean a salary that "basically stays where it is" at about $2.8 million, Greg McGarity tells the UGA Athletics Association.
However, McGarity notes that the performance bonuses in Richt's contract will all increase 100 percent, adding more "incentive" bonuses for the team's success.
According to McGarity, conversations are still ongoing in regards to the contract.
"We're there. It's just a matter of legal wording," McGarity said. "The deal points have all been covered. We've added three years to Mark's contract."
