UGA informed Penn State of its intent to contact 19 current members of the Nittany Lions' team after Monday's NCAA sanctions were announced.

And there is now this statement just now from Mark Richt ....
"Currently, Georgia is not pursuing any of Penn State's football players. We wish Coach O'Brien and the players the best."

I'd like to see the count from Illinois. Heard they want our equipment manager and a few of the cheerleaders too (cant blame them on that). Beckman flat out lied at the B10 media days when he said his 8 coaches were not camped out on campus (they were).

and thats the way it should be...if they choose to contact us at some point, then fine, but out of respect for the new coaching staff this is the right thing to do....

What has happened is that UGA followed up the release of the 19 names to us with the statement from Richt killing all speculation about it.
As was reported in the above story, UGA's notification to Penn State was ON MONDAY and included these 19 names.
Named weren't released until today, and Richt's statement followed soon after.

I dont think coaches should approach your players. If the players want to leave and want to approach other schools then that would be fine but out of respect for the new staff at PSU they shouldnt.
I understand the penalties and obviously why they occurred but i didnt think it would be that bad. Considering the people being punished the most are the players, NEW coaches, and the fans. They are the only people not respnsible for what happened so i honestly think i was unfair. The people who were responsible are either in jail, going to jail, or are no longer apart of the school or program. I actually do feel sorry for you guys but i feel the people involved deserve everything they get and probably more.
