We just spoke with Mark Richt prior to tonight's Bulldog Club meeting. Notes on the way shortly.
Several tidbits, but the most interesting thing was probably Richt saying that he met with Malcolm Mitchell to tell him he needs to be ready at DB and that he wants him doing more to strengthen hamstrings after another injury.
Also Brandon Burrows missed G-Day with a knee injury that is not serious. In fact, Richt said no players with the exception of maybe Sterling Bailey and Xzavier Ward won't be able to start June workouts ... and Bailey and Ward will be good for fall.

well thats great news to be able to have 98% of everyone healthy for summer workouts! keeps good continuity amongst the team durring the offseason!

Basketball assistant Kwanza Johnson speaking in place of Mark Fox.
First two questions he got from fans were about Tony Parker.
Johnson, of course, not allowed to comment on recruits, simply replied "Coach Fox is out there trying to get the best players we can get. We're shooting for the top."

Richt up now and brings up recruiting pretty quickly, saying it has taken off this class and "A couple of positions are close to getting closed out."
"We're getting an awful lot of guys excited about Georgia and not just in-state guys."

Richt's first question/comment is about discipline issues.
"I'll say this," Richt said, "I don't know if any person ever went through life without messing up. I know I did. ... I'm not going to change the way I discipline."
He says some people think you're soft or losing control but "The reality is that's how you keep control of your team."

Richt keeps going ...
Says when he took job at UGA decision was made to clean it up and not cover it up.
"When that happens, people are going to see some of your dirty laundry. And it's embarrassing, quite frankly."
Richt says one reason Mitchell is playing CB is because of discipline issues and the Missouri game.
