Well, I've put on my Sunday best and am in attendance at the Georgia Center along with many others and some serious dignitaries to honor Charley Trippi.
Brandon Boykin will be honored as well.

Loran Smith is the host. Boykin led the prayer before the luncheon.

Fran Tarkington should not be allowed to attend any UGA function.
All he's done for years is badmouth our program.

Couple of interesting comments ...
After Mark Richt gives first-ever Trippi Award to Boykin, Loran Smith says Richt is a great coach "who'll never embarrass us."
Then Michael Adams uses his turn to mention his recent comments about Rose Bowl and BCS playoff discussions, saying he didnt think that Georgia playing UCLA in Rose Bowl in '40s (per Trippi highlights that were shown) set anyone back.

Tarkenton says "there is no question" Trippi is the greatest college player ever and the greatest pro player ever.
Vince Dooley said Harry Gilmer and Bobby Dodd each always also said that Trippi was the best they ever saw.
