*** Lot of NFL talk today

  • Short version ...

Orson, Rambo, Murray, Abry Jones and others have submitted paperwork to NFL Draft advisory board.

BUT Charles and Rambo still appear to be only juniors considering the jump. Jarvis Jones reiterated again today that he is coming back.

More to come on this topic ...

Of course. Why wouldn't you want to know where they have you going? It doesn't cost anything, so why not take advantage of it if you are eligible? I know if I knew without a doubt that I was staying maybe even 2 years, I would still see where they said I would go.

Your = you are. Stupid. You're is possessive hence the apostrophe. Duh. Ro' Tide!

  • Absolutely he should submit paperwork. If I'm correct in the way that works, you not only get an idea of where you'll go, but you'll get an evaluation on what you need to work on to get better.

Murray is a lower tier Heisman candidate next season and with a strong start, will be in the thick of it by midseason. Bobo and Richt have let him loose this season in slinging it around and it will only increase from there.

Murray, like all these kids, has Sunday aspirations. With a little more arm strength, he could be a great pickup for a team in 2013 or (hopefully) 2014. It'd be crazy for him not to submit the paperwork and see where he's at.

I can say with 100% certainty that he's coming back. He's just doing what smart kids do.

  • OC7 won't get a 1st round grade by the NFLDAB - IMO, he is a 2nd-3rd rounder. And, I feel that Rambo will be a 4th-5th rounder; he still has a lot to improve in his game..

  • Whatever round they get back, they need to add 1 or 2 rounds to it (except maybe Orson) bc it's never right.

  • Hopefully they'll both not like the grades given and both return....whistling...wishfull thinking.

I think the 1st-2nd for Orsen is correct. He will be the first TE off the board, numbers don't reflect because he played in the SEC not Big12. I think he loves UGA and will stay for one more. Rambo needs another year, but he might be out because of grades. He is the run of the mill safety in the NFL no elite speed, no elite size just a good player. You are supposed to have a lot of picks as a safety.....”Pressure+QB hurries = Overthrows and Picks” ( I hope he doesn’t think him leading the SEC in interceptions is all him). Don't see him getting any higher than a late 4th or above which in my opinion is no reason to leave early. Don’t get me wrong he is a solid player but not elite.

  • Orson will not b the first tight end off the board....probable top 4... Allen from Clemson will b first one taken and then the guy from Stanford and norte dame will give him a run...

    Jackson5813

  • Not that it is the end all be all, but Kiper and McShay have Orson as the 3rd TE taken.

Rambo's cover skills have vastly improved. I thought he finished strong last season. But he's shown an anticipation this year that I hadn't seen from him in the past. He benefits from a pass rush. But he also creates some of those interceptions 100% on his own.

I think he's not physically ready enough for the NFL. He's going to be expected to clean up a lot of plays against some very, very physical backs. Could he get on a team and develop along in the NFL? Yes. But he wouldn't get the reps. He wouldn't be in a position to improve his leadership skills. And he'd be missing out on possibly the best UGA squad during Richt's entire UGA tenure.

It's a personal call, and I wish him nothing but the best. I think Lakatos, Grantham, Tereshinski, & Richt have more that they can do to help the kid.
But even if he goes, he's a 3 star talent done good. Contributed right away as a freshman. I'm thankful for how we've been a better team with him on it the past 3 seasons.
