UGA is now officially listing Justin Lovett as a new assistant coach for strength and conditioning, filling the spot vacated when Tony Gilbert left recently to become a graduate assistant at Auburn.

Lovett comes to UGA from the staff of the NFL's Denver Broncos.

Greg McGarity said recently that this latest hire would likely be the final full-time addition to a revamped strength and conditioning staff. Lovett joins head strength coach Joe Tereshinski and assistants John Thomas and Sherman Armstrong. Each of the two assistants were new hires made earlier this year.

Justin Lovett was named Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of Georgia in June 2012 after serving for the previous two seasons as a strength and conditioning assistant on the Denver Broncos' staff.

During Lovett's two years as an assistant under Rich Tuten, eighth members of the Broncos earned Pro Bowl selections, including former Bulldog Champ Bailey, and Denver also won the 2011 AFC West title.

Lovett was an assistant strength and conditioning coach at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) from 2008-09, where he worked with the Miners' soccer and track and field teams and assisted with football and softball.

From 2004-08, Lovett was the head strength and conditioning coach at Grandview High School in Aurora, Colo. He helped Grandview earn Sports Illustrated's designation of "The Top Overall Athletic Program" in the state of Colorado in 2008.

Lovett was a two-sport standout in football and baseball at the University of Findlay (NAIA) from 1995-96. A native of Beavercreek, Ohio, he earned a bachelor's degree in exercise and sport science from Colorado State in 2003. Lovett and his wife, Amy, have two sons: Tillman and Lyndon.
