I do think both teams mirror each other in a lot of ways, so it should be a great matchup. It was a great matchup the last time we played Georgia.

"It will be a competitive situation throughout the bowl practice time. ... We expect Richard Samuel to be healthy and get back in the mix here too."
Richt adds that Thomas' knee wasn't too serious and he should be able to practice leading up to game. (Thomas said Sat night it was prob a sprained knee)

Richt asked about Murray and Orson (Tampa natives) returning home ...
"They were both big-time players. Sometimes you take teammates and some guys will say one guy is better than the other ... but both of those guys were big-time players. We're thankful they came to Georgia and hope they enjoy this trip."

Richt: "We definitely recruit the state of Florida. We certainly love the guys we've got in our state, but we when go out of state we try to find guys we can't find in our state."

Dantonio on end to Big 10 Championship game ...
"Without great risk there is no great reward. He got bumped into him, the guy makes the call. You can't really happy that. ... That game didn't come down to one play. ... There are too many things to point to to say 'We lost it on one play.'
"As a football team we're extremely disappointed. ... But we need to move on after that loss. We have to forget about it and find a way to find ourselves in the next week and get back to business."

And that's about it from today's call ...
Georgia's team is off this week. As Richt indicated, there could be some sort of Saturday practice this week, but otherwise it will next week for formal start of bowl practice in Athens. Also the Jan. 2 date this year allows for one more practice at bowl site.
Info we were given last night suggests that UGA will arrive on Dec. 26 and practice at the University of Tampa while in Tampa.
