Great pickup but IF UF offers it will be something to keep an eye on. Regge's a stand up kid so he'll handle it the right way. Sean Price flirted with UGA and Okie late last cycle but stayed committed. The number of CB UGA takes could also come into play.

If UF is planning on offering they better hurry up. Wilkinson is quoted as saying he is working to graduate in Dec. and enroll at UGA by Jan.

For the record I think he is pissed at UF and them offering now will not make a difference, but this is recruiting.

By the way; Wilkinson would make at least 9-10 Early Enrollees this year..... clap

bc that only works for UGA? huh UGA to got kids late in the game last cycle after they didn't offer... still 8 months before he even enrolls so anything can happen. VHIII or Mac could commit elsewhere this weekend and Wilkerson could get his UF offer tomorrow. The staff wants him to come to camp so he can run a official time for them so from my understanding that's the only thing holding up his offer. He was at FNL last year but didn't run a 40. I hope the kid stick with his commit but if UF offers IMO he won't turn it down.

That all sounds great. But if he wanted to wait for a UF offer; he would come out and say- "I am just waiting to see if UF offers before I commit elsewhere." He is saying none of that. In fact, quite the opposite. ESPN has him as saying, he has wanted to commit to UGA for a month now.

All you are offering up is quessing games and assumptions on what the UF staff wants, and nothing diffenitive at all. All we can go on is what the kid is quoted as saying, and so far it is all about WANTING to be at UGA. moon

    no flame intended, just twocents

Again I hope the kid sticks by his commit but if he wanted to really commit to UGA a month ago it would have happen and he wouldn't have made 3 trips to UF in 45 days. But I guess that only means something when UGA is after a recruit.
Great pick up but imo his recruitment is far from over. He'll take visits this summer to improve his game as well as offer list.

  • Habe to agree with Atlgator that if UF offers they will certainly be in the mix. Having said that, I think he is PO'ed at UF for not offering last weekend and combine that with how good Richt is with committed players and I think UF will have to fight a very uphill battle to steal him if they want to go ahead and offer.

didnt' UGA flip 2-3 committed kids going into NSD and still go heavy after Dillion Lee and the LB who signed with FSU? You would have welcome those guys with open arms. It's recruiting and these are KIDS.
8 months until he enroll so things can change on all sides...Wilkerson, UGA and UF. He's a good football player and even better kid. He'll do what's best and I'm sure he'll do it the right way.

Paul had some great thing to say about Reggie a month back:
I can see Wilkerson debuting as a low four-star for us soon. There were some bigger name CB prospects at the NLA 7v7, but I’m not sure anyone looked better in coverage. Has the length and flexibility coveted at that position. Good ball skills, too; he excelled as a receiver for his team, and his offensive background is evident. Only knock might be top-end speed, but that’s being picky. Really high on him.
My take was that Wilkerson has more than enough speed to be a really good BCS corner. Plays faster than he’s probably timed. But he’s not going to turn and go stride for stride with a legit 4.4 slot WR for 50 yard."

I think if a 40 time was the only thing they were waiting on and as bad as he wanted a offer from them, he would have came over any time to run it for them.
