Mark Richt is scheduled to hold a teleconference with beat reporters at around 2:30 p.m.
I've not been told of any particular reason for the call (beyond normal availability), but in any event, we'll have live updates on the thread here ...

Richt says Malcolm Mitchell will try cornerback some this spring ...
"Quite frankly, we're going to experiment with that a little bit and see how much he can handle."
As for Richard Samuel at fullback?
"There's a chance of that too. We have got to make sure we take the entire talent base of our football team and get the best players out there."

"We don't like anything like that. We're not going to have that kind of behavior. ... I've got enough information to feel comfortable that he didn't behave as well as he should, and he's going to live out a consequence for that."

Richt asked about future SEC schedules, says he doesn't want league schedule to go to nine games and potentially 10 with SEC title game.
"That's a tough question. I'll just speak for myself. I know that our league is a very difficult league. Eight league games is plenty to me to prove that you're a good football team."
As for Auburn series?
"It's be kind of hard to not have that game, in my opinion, for a lot of reasons."

Richt on Harvey-Clemons situation on Signing Day ...

Richt doesn't sound too concerned about delay in contract extension being finalized. Richt says it is essentially a brand new contract being drawn up.
"It's going to happen in due time. I don't have any anxiety at all. ... We're just ironing out all those little things. Greg and I have been together on our discussions and everything has been going extremely well. I don't have any issues at all other than making sure it's right."

Richt sounding optimistic about the offensive line ...
"I'm encouraged because I see these guys work hard. ... I see some athleticism. I see guys that I think can learn and not have assignment busts. ... If you get the right assignment and you fight, you've got a chance to move the ball and create space in the running game. So I think we've got that."
