*** SEC meetings final day updates

  • The powers that be actually placed me back in Athens today as they're finishing up in Destin today, but will pass along updates as I can. Mike Slive is expected to meet with reporters in about an hour to go over the presidents' votes, but one bit of news already out involves the 6-1-1 schedule.

    Per the Orlando Sentinel and other reporters, Florida AD Jeremy Foley just told media in Destin that the 6-1-1 football schedule DID pass as expected.

    So the big question is answered: Georgia-Auburn is safe.

  • These were really the big questions from today's vote. There could be some other surprises from Slive later, but I think the two posts to start this thread will probably be the headlines as the meetings conclude today.
