Sounds an awful lot like Ole Woodrow, is unwilling to sign the papers so this kid can commit to where he wants to go. He had stated on Monday, that he didn't like that CMR, would not insure him that Josh wouldn't get red shirted, so I think he is basically telling the kid, to go to Florida or FSU or he will not sign the LOI. I think the kid, as good as he is, would still need to put on some weight so I am sure CMR and staff were looking at him as a depth signer right now, so who really knows. It is a shame that his grand father would do that, but in today's world, I am no longer surprised.
I can just see it now. If josh takes a hard hit on the field, ole Woodrow will come out of his seat, run on the field and give the refs. or the player making the hit, hell because they hit the kid too hard. I hate it for the kid, but UGA will still be fine at the position he would most likely have played at. Time to move on most likely, wish the kid the best and get on with the folks we have. UGA does not need the drama or headache.
We wanted Patterson, but UT absolutely needed him Like with Bama and us last year for IC.
Same thing re Williams and Auburn.
CMR mentioned that our depthy at WR may have been a factor in some decisions.
In any event, Tibbs could be the steal of this class. Some in the know claim he was the state's most athletic player this year. All I know is anyone who can score 5 tds against Stephenson si pretty impressive.
And don't forget that Sheldon Dawson can be a playmaker of offense.
We met our needs well, especially with Marshal and Gurley. The fact that we didn't offer any more OLs tells me the coaches are pleased with the development of our young OLs. There was talk of offering several JUCO OLs, but now we have more bullets left for next year's class.
