Richt has admitted that he wasn't the best person during his days at Miami. But that's what is so great about his story. He's seen temptation. Lived it. And has made it a crusade to make choices in the opposite direction.
It's one thing to be a good person. It's way more impressive when someone "chooses" to be a good person. And chooses to lead young people by example (tough love... even when it hurts).
Art Schlichter's cellmates and Mo Clarett's rugby team believe Ohio State always does things honestly.....

That's why i believe Richt is unfairly criticized for his discipline.
The university has policy and he is bound to follow it.
I know Richt is not perfect but Petrino is a living testament to someone who needs a life change

I have a feeling that he'll get off with little to any repercussion. However, could you imagine if this was Coach Richt? It would be a feeding frenzy. I think that the reason this isn't a bigger story is that everyone knows Bobby P is a scum bag...
