*** Tony Gilbert leaving UGA's strength staff

A little news on the football front ...
Former UGA linebacker Tony Gilbert confirmed today on his Twitter account that he's leaving the Bulldogs strength staff to become a Graduate Assistant at Auburn under Brian VanGorder, Gilbert's former defensive coach at UGA.
Congrats to Tony, and the overhaul on UGA's strength staff continues. He makes the fourth assistant to leave Joe Tereshinski's staff since the bowl game.

This is a great opportunity for Tony. If he's interested in coaching, why would he turn it down? It's a better career move than remaining as an assistant S and C coach.
And, it's a tremendous compliment for his former DC to want Tony, his former MLB, on his staff.
Tony was a DGD. Best wishes to him.
