  • Hello from Athens, where a steady rain is falling. That wouldn't seem to present too much trouble for Georgia's bye week practice this afternoon, but there is thunder rumbling in the background.

    The Dogs originally moved the 4:30 start time back to 3:30 and have now moved it back to 4:30 in hopes of trying to dodge the weather. We'll keep you updated and bring you any updates that are there to be had in the coming hours.

  • We are supposed to be able to watch three periods at the start of practice, but who knows where that stands with the weather issues?

    The media's viewing period (or lack of one) will probably dictate whether I'll have a practice report today or not. In any event, we'll have some coverage from post-practice interviews with offensive coaches and players. Nothing from Richt today.

  • OK back from practice field ... Soaked ... UGA's team is practicing in a driving rainstorm right now. ... Helmets, no shoulder pads, working mostly on special teams that I could tell.

    Alec Ogletree is practicing in a normal red jersey.

    Malcolm Mitchell still out, as is Carlton Thomas. Chase Vasser in green for unknown reason.

    More later after I dry out ...

  • Not much new news in post-practice interviews.

    Bobo does still expect Malcolm Mitchell to be available for Florida, and Bryan McClendon said same for Carlton Thomas.

    Nevermind. I read the other report. Helluva concussion. Wooten should consider wearing a seat belt and a crash helmet from now on.

    Still hasn't been cleared to return to practice from concussions. UGA has strict tests, and he hasn't passed them yet.
