It's time for scrimmage No. 2, as the Bulldogs get set to square off again this afternoon behind closed doors.
No media viewing period (again) at the start of the scrimmage, but I can tell you off his Twitter feed that linebacker Amarlo Herrera, who totaled 7 tackles in last week's scrimmage, is not going today. He surely won't be the only one, as it is doubtful that Richard Samuel (quad) or Isaiah Crowell (groin) will be pushed into playing today.
There is a longer list of banged-up Bulldogs right now. Most pressing, there looks to be news later today on safety Jakar Hamilton, who 20 minutes ago tweeted "I never thought this would happen to me but I guess Gods gotta plan for me." Hamilton has been out since the first couple of days of the preseason with what Richt said was a strained hamstring. He tried to return to practice last week and wasn't able to go.

Live updates may be sparse until the scrimmage wraps up around 6:30 or 7.
At that point, I'll stream stats directly onto the thread (as was the case last week) and provide updates from interview sessions with Richt and players.

Doesn't sound good, whatever it is. Has the feel that he may be out for the season. If that is the case, he should be able to RS, since I think he has 3 yrs to play 2. Total speculation on my part, but that's just what it sounds like to me based on his tweets.

Richt confirmed fracture for Jakar ...
"My guess is he won't play this year. He does have the opportunity to redshirt. That's my best guess on Jakar."
"It's the kind of fracture you've got to have a bone scan to really see it."
