  • It's the third scrimmage day of the preseason, with Georgia doing its practice game behind closed doors at Sanford Stadium. No media viewing at all, so my first live news updates will probably be after the scrimmage, which should be no earlier than 6 p.m. or so and probably a bit later. We should have stats and reaction from Richt and players then.

  • If anyone is curious ...

    Just received a media schedule for the rest of the week, and UGA is shutting the doors completely on Friday's practice. No idea why, but no viewing and no interviews afterward. Sooooo ... don't expect a live thread and regular practice report Friday unless that changes (though my wife is probably pleased that Friday night just opened up).

    I'll be there to cover Thursday and Saturday as normal this week.

    As for the normal game week schedule that we'll use this season, in addition to daily coverage, stock reports and some other cool new ideas on tap once the games begin, I'm continuing these live threads and practice reports on Tuesday and Wednesday during game weeks (days when Dogs hold full practices) based on the good response they have gotten during preseason.

    Thank God it is actually August 24th, I don't think I would make it if we had to go back and relive July 24th on....it has taken a lifetime to get to this point as it is.

  • i have no idea whether it's true or not, but i could easily see it if these numbers were all just made up by richt and bobo and company. what reason would they really have to tell how productive players were prior to a season this important and an opening game this big?
