*** Yup, Dogs in the Dome today

  • For some reason, UGA still doesn't want to confirm that the team is practicing in the Georgia Dome this evening.

    But ... evidently, it is.

Numerous tweets from numerous players have said the Bulldogs did indeed board buses with a police escort for the site of next Saturday's game ... and they will also be practicing in those new Pro Combat uniforms tonight.

Anyway, there won't be a live thread, since ... well ... practice was closed to us reporters with no interviews afterward.

  • Dear Lord, secrecy was about this? Um OK ...

Doing this will probably get the guys going, though, which is a good thing. If you're close enough to do this, why not?

  • Well, it certainly won't hurt the players nerves having them go through everything now. It will be different with the crowds, but at least it won't be completely new and foreign to them, especially for the freshmen. It is probably adding to their excitement to see the dome now and visualize 10's of thousands of fans cheering you on in a week. I think this was genius. Might hear complaints from Broncos fans that it an unfair advantage for a "neutral site" game.
