Here's mine ...
I'm young enough to have missed some good ones, but to me this is not even close ...
I don't even really like the LA Dodgers (though I like Matt Kemp, because he's on my fantasy team), but many times I'll stay up to watch them play just to hear Vin Scully call the game. He does it BY HIMSELF, and he's got great anecdotes on seemingly every hitter and something interesting to say during all the lulls in play. Just awesome ...

Vin Scully celebrates his 85th birthday -- what he calls the 45th anniversary of his 40th birthday -- at home reading a book.

Edited this to read "TV" sports announcer.
We all know who the best radio announcer would be, of course ...
GTV celebrates Georgia's legendary play-by-play announcer; Vince Dooley, Lindsay Scott, and others contribute!
Hold off the old or "homer" jokes.
Sorry G, didn't see the edit..

I was expecting a Downvote.
Whoa Nelly ! Keith Jackson
Scully was my pick before opening the thread.
Harey Carey gets consideration as he's the TV version of Larry Munson, imo.
When you roll the good in with the bad... john Madden and Pat Summerall were as good a football crew as I remember.
"Let's get ready to rumble" Michael Buffer, always good for the opening. After that not so much.
George Foreman, Emanuel Steward, Larry Merchant, and Jim Lampley was a great boxing tandem. You take one of them out and the coverage wasn't the same (Merchant didn't add much, but he was so aloof that he was fun to yell at).
Al Michaels just for 1980 US Hockey
Dandy Don Meredith
Larry Munson and John Ward were the last big homers pining for their own team. Eli Gold isn't far behind. He has to be 120 years old
Art Schlichter's cellmates and Mo Clarett's rugby team believe Ohio State always does things honestly.....
There are a few correct words to describe Verne
Best ain't one of them............................
Keith Jackson for me.
IMO, the best TV college football announcing tandem was Ron Franklin and Mike Gottried on ESPN. I grew up watching games they covered on "Saturday night Prime Time" games on ESPN, and most were SEC games. Franklin has the best play by play voice I have ever heard, and Gottried's color was always spot on.
Loved SKIP braves win braves win
Showing age - Dizzy Dean!
I always liked Ron Franklin.
Don Sutton and Skip Caray.
Best current football guy - Gruden hands down.
grew up listening to keith jackson. GO DAWGS!
Brad Nessler is outstanding as well.
