Looking at the SEC teams in 2012 who will have the biggest letdown based on expectations.
My vote goes to Vandy.
My reason? The schedule
This teams season could be over in the first 4 games of the season.
They open with SCU, at Northwestern, one give me win (Presbyterian: Franklin will run the score up to make him look macho), and then at UGA. He could start off 1-3 then after a week off they have at Missouri, UF, and Auburn. He could be 1-6 before he hits the easy part of the schedule (UMASS, UK, Miss, UT, and Wake).
When they get to Athens we better be ready because that game could be a swing game for their season. Franklin reminds me of Mullen. You can only do so much at that program and then everyone catches on.

I'm surprised Arkansas hasn't been mentioned so far, because I could definitely see them falling short. Arkansas fans are convinced they're going to beat either Bama or LSU, but I think they go 0-2 there and lose at least 1 or 2 more (USCe, Auburn, or A&M come to mind). A 4th place finish would be a big letdown.
Arkansas and USCe have slowly risen together the last 5 years or so, and I think this may be both teams' last gasp. Both come up short in 2012.

You could make the arguement for USC, and FL (people arent really expecting much from Tenn or Vandy) and Ark just had a meltdown. I'm going with Bama. I dont think they are going to have a horrible season but i also could see them losing ATLEAST 2-3 games. They just lost way to much to the draft and if their name wasnt Bama they wouldnt be in the top 10. Their defense is going to be rebuilding and McCarron is not that great. Everybody is kissing his ass because he had one good game. It just happened to be the biggest game of his life. He didnt do anything before that and without Trent he wont this year. Again i think they'll still be good but nowhere near there ranking.
Art Schlichter's cellmates and Mo Clarett's rugby team believe Ohio State always does things honestly.....
