Branden Smith cleared for opener

Mark Richt just announced it at the end of his Saturday post-practice presser.
Richt that after "determining what happened, we feel we're doing the right thing on Branden."
So that gives Georgia at least one of its projected starting cornerbacks. The other one, Sanders Commings, is still out the first two games. No further word yet on any drug test suspensions.

Awesome news
It seems like everyone who gets in trouble has an excuse or proclaims their innocence, and as much as I'd like to believe them I've gotten a little jaded and cynical over the years. It's great that CMR waited for the whole story and did the right thing.

Chuck Oliver is talking all kinda trash about CMR on twiiter. He said Smith went to pre trial intervention and that meant he plead guilty to the charges. He is going on about how UGA policy says Smith shouldnt play and how lax CMR is on discipline. To me that is hilarious coming from an AU grad/fan.

Exactly. That POS has had his Richt hater flag flying high for a while. Anyone that thinks Richt is lax on his disclipine compared to the rest of the league is just plain ignorant
