My opinion is that Bradley's being controversial for the sake of controversy, but I'm really hoping Adams isn't kicking around the idea of one last shot at Dooley.

Sanford Stadium should always be as such. Period.

Now, if you want to name it Vince Dooley field, I guess that's fine, but I still don't know if it's the right thing to do and it's certainly not something Mike Adams should do.

If Adams had any class about him and wanted to do something nice for Dooley before he left, tell him to pick up the phone and them work out their differences privately. Adams isn't, and should never be, the person to honor Vince Dooley.

I agree with Ludakit. For one...Dooley-Sanford or Sanford-Dooley just doesn't have a good ring to it. It's too "auburn" for me. I don't have a problem with Dooley Field, but I wouldn't want Adams to be the one to get "credit" for it. I've seen Adams meddle in athletic affairs enough as it is. If something is done down the road to honor Dooley, it needs to come naturally.

And don't get me started on Bradley...guy is the epitome of a hack journalist. Can't stand behind anything he writes because he knows he'll contradict it soon thereafter when he needs to write a new blog to drive some internet hits.

Realistically, your idea is all that could ever happen.

I agree. Name the field after him and leave the stadium name alone. Now that I have put it on the record how I feel, I am sure that Michael Adams is being notified (since my opinion carries so much weight).

No, No, No. Dooley's name should NOT be added to Sanford Stadium. Sanford Stadium should remain Sanford Stadium forever! Dooley is a very divisive figure and should come forward and put a stop to this nonsense.

Just build a damn statue and be done.
