KG wasnt below average. he was average to above average. but there was a difference between him and john jenkins at NT. And that is being reflected here.
Not that he owed anything...he'd been in college for four years, but I wonder if he got the NFL advisory information on his possible grade and if so, what it was. Or maybe he didn't care and said I'm out......curious as to his thought process.
All I can seem to remember about him is him getting abused. Pushed sideways and getting stood up. He can't play low. He will be a UDFA and be a practice team player
40 tackles for a 3-4 NT is very good.
5 tackles for a loss for a 3-4 NT is very good.
I saw him get run out on a few plays and dominate in others.
I saw him get sealed easily which makes me believe he was often responsible for 1 gap assignments (which would be as much on the playcall as on him).
Our run defense problems were more about LBs and consequently safeties. although guys like geathers and jenkins didnt make enough plays on the line when the play didnt come right at them (backside crashing down).
Kwame wouldn't say what the grade was, but he said he really didn't care about that anyway.
In hindsight, he was gone all along.
Had he been seriously considering a return, he would have at least made the effort to return to Athens and meet with Chris Wilson after a hire was made.
Grass isn't always greener
I would hope so considering the talent we had.
Easier said than done.
Give Grantham and co. a little credit.
RBs ellington and barner just came off the board. thought both would go sooner
