Jenkins is back out there.
A few new names out today for injury ...
Dallas Lee, Amarlo Herrera and Christian Robinson
Ray Drew was warming up on the side, not in green, but he looked a bit limited
Media viewing period was only a few minutes. Saw some kicking drills. Looked like Jamie Lindley and Adam Erickson were taking turns on FG attempts.
Much more to come after scrimmage. I'm told we are going to get stats from Richt, as usual.
Spoke with Jenkins and Geathers after scrimmage. Both said they're still in 350 range, hoping to get to 330 before the first game.
Damian Swann, Devin Bowman, Jay Rome, John Jenkins, Kwame Geathers, Mike Thornton, Chase Vasser, Chris Burnette, Aaron Murray, Tavarres King, Christian Robinson and Cornelius Washington were brought in for interviews (for those who want to file that information away as pertinent at this time)
Not all players were requested, of course. Just saying UGA let those guys show.
Richt in the room now.
Scrimmage stats upcoming ...
Richt confirms that Marc Deas is leaving also for playing time, like Lott.
Richt says both players got an unconditional release.
"there was no discipine issue, no problens ... They were just looking for an opportunity to play."

Richt reiterates that "there was no discipline issue" for Deas or Lott.
"They felt like their chances of playing weren't going to be good."
Richt explains Harton and Karempelis getting more carries than other tailbacks because they worked with 2s and 3s and that was more reps than just working with the 1s.
Richt says Samuel played "mostly" at fullback.
Also notice that Malcolm Mitchell did get some work on offense and defense today.

Richt speaking in general terms about all that's going on ...
"At Georgia, we've got rules. We've got policies we feel like are in the best interests of our players. ... Everything we do and every rule we've got is for the benefit of these guys and for the team. And a lot of the discipline we give does involve playing time. I think that's the thing guys covet the most."
"We're willing to carry it out even when it hurts. What happens sometimes -- especially when you take playing time -- it becomes a public issue. There's a very high accountability for our guys, for everyone, from the starters to the scout teamers. We're not going to treat a starter any different than scout team guy when it comes to discipline. I want to be fair to the policies that we have."
Dangum, looks like defence did work today!
Richt on QBs ...
"I think Murray had got a very good command of what's going on out there. I think Hutson does as well. I think LeMay has been making some very good progress. I'm happy with that."
Richt asked about scrimmage standouts ...
Jay Rome: "The one catch in the end zone on the goal line was pretty acrobatic. He had to kind of turn his body and reach back. He landed off his feet, and the ball didn't come out."
"Shawn Williams was outstanding today."
"I thought Isaiah ran the ball real physical a couple of times," said on one fourth down play that Crowell "made the safety miss and made a nice run to get the fourth-down run."
"Every day Jarvis is really playing extremely well."
Richt was asked point-blank if he would like a uniform NCAA policy.
"That's an interesting question. I don't know if that would ever happen. ... I don't want to make a comment on anybody else's policies and all that. It'd be interesting to see that happen. I just don't know if it ever would happen."
All of those sacks stand out, is our offensive line that bad or is our defense that good?
