Well, football is back.
Practice starts about 10:30 and media viewing starts at about 11.
I'll have updates from the field, and then we'll talk to Richt after practice.
Stay tuned for more ...

This is gonna be cold. And windy.
I'll bet that place is a zoo today..The Athens Touchdown club and families are having lunch, tours etc. along with the usual media.
G, which coach will reach the highest decible level today?
Bobo usually wins.
Well, Garner is gone, so we'll see what Wilson throws out there.
Back from the field and warming up now ...
-- Harvey-Clemons was with the DBs
-- JJ Green was exclusively with the RBs
Lot of offensive guys in green, including Brandon Harton. He was jogging on the side with Keith Marshall (hamstring), who was also in green.
Tramel Terry (knee) was out there with the WRs but not practicing, obviously. Rantavious Wooten also in green but he was going through drills.
Michael Bennett (Knee) doing running drills on the side, and he looked pretty dang good for a guy coming off ACL surgery.
Leonard Floyd was on hand, by the way, watching from the side with recruits.
A lot of former players in attendance: David Greene, David Pollack, Ben Jones, Christian Robinson among them ...
Harvey-Clemons was working mostly in the slot role still.
I've seen reports that he was working in with first-string -- but there really wasn't a first string -- and he was rarely at a traditional safety spot that I saw.
JHC also doesn't look like he's added much weight, honestly.
With Harton and Marshall out, Kyle Karempelis was getting reps as the second RB behind Gurley.
And one switch on defense: Brandon Burrows was with the OLBs not the ILBs.
As expected, Ramik Wilson was inside.
Photo gallery on the way shortly, and plenty of other observations from the field coming in the first practice report of 2013 later this afternoon.
Gentry, JHC looks like a guy who has a frame that's going to be tough to add weight to, for better or worse.
"We just stepped on their face with a hobnailed boot and broke their nose! We just crushed their face!”
FOOTBALL IS BAAAAAACCCKKK
God needs a Safety on His team. RIP 21
Richt is on the way in now ...
Richt walks in and sees a line of cameras ...
"Wow, must be a basketball game today."
Richt: "It's cold out there. I'll just be honest with you. We actually got a little snow. I don't know what it was. I don't know if it was hail or snow, for about 10 minutes. That was interesting for spring ball."
"Very high energy, but my guess is it had to do with trying to stay warm."
They skipped all the breaks: "Nobody wanted to stand still."
Richt asked about EEs ...
"I saw Rumph make a nice catch. I saw Ryne Rankin flying around the ball. He actually put his hands on one of our quarterbacks, which you're not supposed to do. I had to correct him on that. ... But he's hustling real hard. I saw that."
Richt says Chris Mayes, "sure looks good. He's really put together well."
Per Richt, Atkins got in good shape during mat drills
"Brice (Ramsey) made a couple of nice throws here and there. He fumbled a couple of snaps too."
Richt on his hip ...
"I do better the more I move. Being up and around is not bad, but the colder it is the stiffer it gets. ... I did almost get run over one time. I learned to back up a little bit more than I normally do. I can't stand in my normal spot, but it's not too bad."
Richt says he didn't feel need to watch and babysit Chris Wilson out there today. Has noticed that he'll bark instructions, but if there's a negative point to be made, "He tends to want to get real close to them and whisper something in their ear. So I'm not sure what he's saying to them."
Richt says James DeLoach, "really looks good."
"I mean, he's in tremendous condition."
"We are definitely not as big up front. But we're pretty quick and athletic. It's going to be interesting to see how we'll hold up against a smashmouth team, but we've certainly got some guys who can run."
Richt on Josh Harvey-Clemons ...
"He's looks slim, doesn't he?
"He's relatively stout on contact. Even though he looks thin and rangy, which he is ... but there's something about him when he strikes.
"Can he play some OLB? Yeah, we think so. Can he play some safety? Yeah, we think so too."
