Let's be honest for a second. Grantham didn't mishandle anything. He wanted these jobs, IMO. So what was he suppose to do? Lie and say he wouldn't leave?
No, say publicly he is interested or not. Not hide behind rumors. Just get it out in the open.
No way. He's less than 9 months, 9 MONTHS!, removed from signing a 3 year contract that made him on of the highest paid assistants in the country. Not only that he's the only asst coach with a multi-year contract. It's a slap in the face to our other asst coaches that he's letting it be known he wants to interview for other jobs. Try pulling this same crap at your job, "sorry boss, I can't commit to that sales trip b/c I'm interviewing with other firms next week", and see how fast you get shown the door. Loyalty is a two way street.
