Putting my school loyalties aside, I find it difficult to get too upset at the kid in a situation like this. The NCAA has set up a system where under no circumstance can a player work to earn money, cannot sell any items he's been given for money, (aj green jersey, ohio st pants) even if it's below market value, yet it's ok for a recruits parents to accept benefits from a school where that kid may go play (see Cam Newton father, Ole Miss class of '13). What's the difference, the money is getting back to the kid either through the front door or back door. And if the Sheriff comes and discovers laws have been broken the culprit can skip town (Pete Carroll / Chip Kelly) and leave others to clean up the mess. What a screwed up system. Makes me proud to have a guy like Coach Richt representing our school
