I got this one from academy sports. It works incredible! I don't have to worry about my heat adjustments or anything. Just set it at desired time and heat, add the chips and it's on. I would youtube the products you are interested in. After watching and doing research I picked this one and it has not let me down. I will see if I can chase down some of my pics tonight of the butts I have done.

You don't have to brine but it only enhances it more. I have done brine and no brine. I also let my butts sit in dry rub over night too. It's like a 3 day process for me to smoke them but everyone who eats them tell me I have some of the best pulled pork they have ever tasted. No one wants sauce with my butts.
