... in who (if anyone) would receive Georgia's "recruiting coordinator" title.
It's a completely empty title.
It wasn't an empty title for Garner at one point. But by the time he left the job it was. The hiring of Daryl Jones and a recruiting staff made any "coordinating" on that front irrelevant for one of the position coaches.
If Georgia did name another recruiting coordinator, it would be a meaningless title meant to get someone more money, in my opinion. But it sounds like Richt isn't going to give that title to anyone, because there's just no reason.
There are a lot of substantial topics around this team right now. That isn't one of them.

OK, I'm not as angry as the little guy on the box above. But Richt got asked on the conference call, and I've been asked this question a lot lately on radio shows etc (not here though -- you guys are cool) and just wondered why. It doesn't matter at all.
It's ok G. You can always vent in the Junkyard!
You mad Bro!
"HOW BOUT THEM DAWGS"
In my opinion, it's because people associate leadership roles to certain titles. The Recruiting Coordinator is generally viewed as the best recruiter...and the recruiting face...on the staff.
Most people have no clue what his actual duties are...they just here the title and assume he's the man when it comes to recruiting.

Please shut up and tell us more about who will be the backup kicker.
agree with you there. the problem i think is that alot of folks dont understand what the recruiting co-ordinator does. its an administrative posistion that people think decides who we recruit. GO DAWGS!
