The entire post-game coverage is the theme that Saban is a god.
They've gone to great lengths not to discuss the strength of the SEC. They did mention in passing that the NC game was probably played in Atlanta, but after those ten seconds they quickly went back to the chosen them.
They're like politicians repeating the talking points that have been scripted for them.
It's so ridiculous that Holtz and May were reduced to complimenting ND for their post-game interviews.
Anything to avoid talking about the SEC.
honestly man tonight should be all about bama. they have earned it
I will agree with you that they have earned everything they have. Even Saban said UGA was 5 yards from being here in the post game. We play in the best conference in the world. Our time is coming!!! Hey if you want to feel bad about something then think of me when you wake up in the morning....I have to listen to these Bammers and the 3 out of the last 4 talk everyday until we take them to the shed next year in the ATL!!! GO DAWGS!!!!!
Hold your head up Dawgs...my daughter is at UGA and I love the make up of both teams and living in Georgia I root for the Dawgs all year. UGA showed up big time and will be tough next year!
Not rw ally sure what you want. UGA didnt play tonight Bama did. You guys played us a heck of a game and I thought you were the 2nd best team in the country, however you lost. If you get into the game and win then they will talk all about Richt I guess.
The fact that you are here on this forum right now is what I don't want. Yes Bama looked dominant against a team that really didn't match up with them athlete wise, so the rest of the world gets to hear ad nauseum about how Saban is a genius and Bama is unbeatable for 9 months or so. It didn't take a great coaching job for Bama to beat ND. They really just had to show up and play their game. ND Dbs couldn't keep up in man coverage at any point, they didn't have the pass rush, and they didn't have the surfeit of offensive weapons to make Bama stop and think on defense. Congratulations! Enjoy your validation!
Here is why Bama is dominant. NO expense is spared. Saban can look like a genius of a coach because he has a veritable army of grad assts and full time employees doing all the grunt work. He has an AD that is willing to bend and possibly even break whatever rules he possibly can to gain an edge in football. He employs "consultants" to coach when the NCAA limits coaching positions. The REC certainly doesn't mind helping out where they can in whatever way they can, just like any other booster club, but between Auburn and Bama, you Bammers certainly have fraud and all sorts of shady business down to an art form. Exactly how much did Yeldon cost Bama? The Mob could learn things from those two AD departments/booster clubs. However, no sports journalists will try to come up with any of these interesting stories about the people behind Saban that make him look so good. NO they will shove it down our throats that he is the Messiah incarnate until next season rolls around. No one asks why all these other college problems NEVER have players fail a class or a drug test. They just assume that because UGA in fact looks for and punishes players for transgressions, then there must be a disciplinary problem at UGA but no where else. Basically, because of the poor state of sports "journalism", I am going to have to avoid all CFB talk in the offseason in the mainstream media. It would be nice if I wouldn't have to read your patronizing platitudes on this private forum. You have a board: one that excludes fans and viewpointss from other schools. If you, as a Bama fan, don't believe in a free exchange of ideas in your own backyard, then you best bring something a whole lot more interesting that a "great job" button here to be welcome.

"....All I ask is that he be loyal to Georgia, proud of that jersey, and try like the devil to win." --- Wally Butts
Thinking like that is why you guys can't get over the hump. It's why regardless of how good of a recruiting class you sign nobody outside of Georgia will care. You guys played as good a game as I've seen UGA play, EVER. Still your fan base posts crap like this. I could tear your post apart point by point but why bother. We played a fantastic game and should be very proud of your team instead you pull out the old worn out ideaology they beat us so they must cheat blah blah. Gentry covered Alabama under Saban so why don't you see him agreeing any time you guys post this crap.
How dare espn cover the game and not some other agenda that would glorify us after Bama just won the NC.
I for one would love to see you try and destroy that post fact by fact. Please go ahead.
Yes bama played great and won the title. Doesn't say a thing about how you go there. Saban is more crooked than any politician in the history of the world. The man would sell his wife for the right recruit or the right championship. Hence why he is referred to as Satan.
Saban in fact this year has already bought a recruit in Henry. Wonder how his Dad found a job right as he got out of prison hmmmmmmm.........
So yea enjoy the win, and just disregard everything that got you there. Thats what makes you bama fans ;)
If Henry got paid or his dad got a job go ahead and call the NCAA. If its true I expect to hear about it on espn. If some joe blo on dawgvent knows it the other 13 coaches should be reporting it right now. Put up or continue being and Auburn fan or Georgia fan rather.
hahahahaha little do you know it HAS already been reported and is being investigated hahahaha. Sorry that you feel its bogus, but im sure thats because its bad news for bama. You may want to branch away from pay sites if you want dirty information like this. Stuff like this doesnt get reported by these sites. Check out LHB they have the low down on what your looking for.
Or maybe you would like to look into the free suits Julio Jones and company got while at bama???
Or maybe why almost no bama players are ever arrested until they leave school. hmmm seems like that has happened recently.
By the way you forgot to tear that persons post aprat point by point.
Keep your typical bama banter coming I love it hahahaha. (Let me guess you think bama has 15 titles too??)
I dont care how many titles you think we have. All those things you just mentioned have been talked about by guys like you for years and I'm still waiting for anything to come of any of it. Its just typical bs that anyone can make up and nobody can prove.
hahahahahahahahaha keep thinking that.
Satan has deep pockets ;)
By the way you still havent torn apart that post. I keep waiting to see your pearls of wisdom. I especially cant wait for your explantion of yeldon. Everyone knows yall paid him to switch to bama, probably around I dont know lets just say 10K.
But let me guess you dont think bama has ever done any wrong, besides what they have already been caught and penalized for right?
Im guessing by side stepping the 15 remark you either are embarrassed by the fans that claim 15 or you are one of those clowns that claim 15. which one is it? I cant take you seriously until i know that answer. Its the only way to tell the bama homers with no clue from the some what decent bamer fans.
FYI though if you claim 15 you best run along to the bama boards where they tolerate and in fact welcome low IQ members.
Sigh. I am not surprised that you completely missed my point. You probably had a Bama education. To simplify things: Bama is a dominant program because they spare no expense-both legally or illegally. However, they (and Auburn) are very good at covering their tracks when it is the latter. Do you deny that Bama football doesn't have numerous "consultants"? They don't spend the lion's share of their AD revenue back into the football program? The amount of people employed in the BAMA S&C program was what eventually lead to the rule limiting it? If the scholarship numbers weren't shady, then why are Bama and Saban so against making them transparent? Bama and Saban are the perfect marriage. They both are exceedingly obsessive compulsive when it comes to football. Notice I also said "bend and sometimes break". I do absolutely think Bama has finessed and massaged the recruiting rules, and more importantly the numbers, more than any other program in this country. If you don't believe this, and you plan on hanging out here, do me one thing to prove it- go through the Saban recruiting classes and get the numbers to equal 85 every year.
I am just sick of hearing about it is great coaching, when half that coaching is happening illegally in the offseason when "coaches" aren't allowed to coach or even watch players, and when the majority of the recruiting success is not just because of the magnetic personality of Saban, but because of the numerous employees that have been filing information and communicating with the recruits for years by the time their senior year comes around and the cynical ability to offer everyone and accept their commitment, knowing all along they will be punted to the curb at some point in January when the real targets want to come aboard.
I never said everything done was illegal or cheating, at least not to the letter of the rule. I said that a whole lot more has gone into the MNCs than Saban's coaching genius, which conveniently didn't rear its head consistently until he landed at a program that was as completely focused on football to the exclusion of all else as he was.

To be fair, they did say that the SEC championship game is essentially the de facto National Title game last night during the post-game show (or what they aired on Sportscenter this morning at 7 and said was post-game analysis). They gave UGA props for playing Bama so close and insinuated that we'd have beaten ND as well, though maybe not quite so badly.
Let's beat Bama, and then we will be in the spotlight, with ESPN showering us with all kinds of love. To be the best, you have to beat the best. What Saban has done is phenomenal. A rare feat in college football history. If I'm honest, quite frankly I'm jealous. I look at what Saban is doing at Bama, and that is what I want. I want UGA to win 3 or 4 Nattys in 5 years. I want to us to be a dynasty.
I'm a UGA fan, but you sound like a sore sport little brat making excuses
Why, because I am sick of sports "journalism" being all about the obvious and not about what is truly happening beneath the surface? Exactly how many times did I mention UGA shoulda, coulda, woulda won the MNC or that people should have been talking about UGA last night in my post?
These aren't excuses for why UGA didn't win or play; they are reasons for why Bama has been so successful. They are the large corporation manipulating the business, political, and financial environments surrounding them to make sure as many as possible of the factors around them are favorable to them. That is simply good buisness in a capitalist economy. However, like most successful corporations in a capitalist society, they have certainly manipulated the rules where they could.
If you again read my post, you would see that my beef is with the "journalism" I am going to be spoon fed over the offseason rather than actual researched articles on what has made Bama so successful. Not being able to get that from the mainstream media, I would prefer not to be inundated with the same crap from Bama fans on this site. I have no problem with them over here if they are willing to argue and discuss points, but why the hell should I welcome them when they are seeking very little beyond validation, no matter how "humble" their platitudes?

Let's just beat Clemson 1st, and then start thinking about SC b4 we worry about Bama.....or Atlanta or anything else?
Well said and 100 percent agree
This thread has become tragically embarrassing
Because your first post seemed to concentrate on how bama bends the rules and all the advantages they have over UGA.. I prefer to give them and Saban more credit than rambling off excuses, just IMO
No argument here. I was only stating what I would like UGA to become. Let's continue to improve in all areas of the program and the wins will come.
