Good people of Georgia,
I cover Nebraska football and recruiting for the Husker site here on 247Sports and I had a question regarding tickets for Georgia football games. I'm buying my dad and myself tickets for a Patriots-Falcons game in September in Atlanta.
The day before that contest is Georgia-LSU, obviously a a fantastic SEC clash. I'm going to try to make that game as well, but was wondering if anyone here had advice for the best route to get tickets. I'm expecting the price to be relatively high, but that's no big deal. Just wondered if there was a way to avoid Ticketmaster/Stub Hub fees.
Assuming this all comes through, then I'll be hitting you fine folks back up for places I need to go to in Athens.

Depends, if Georgia loses to Clemson and USCjr then you can get them cheap (I will sell you mine) If Georgia is undefeated going into that game they will be expensive.
Mike several season ticket holders on here, those tix will be at a premium especially if that is a night game
But I am sure some folks on here can lead you in the right direction
UGA is not losing to Clemson unless Bobo and Grantham go full retard.
Depends on who you are pulling for to win...pulling for LSU?...forget it....rooting for dawgs, then arrangements can be made....
300-400 bucks cash can get you a pair of tickets an hour before the game guaranteed
Hell, Take mine and I'll cab it home-NO WAY!..
Birthday is the 29th
LSU and the Kinchafoonee Cowboys on the 28th!
Thanks guys. I'll be keeping an eye out. I'll hit you all up for spots in Athens and whatnot a little closer to the trip.
Never been to a game when I could not buy a ticket. Always around just before kickoff.
whatevs. if you gaiz lose to clemson, PM rusty or gentry for a one week ban of me b/c I will not let it go until our kickoff. Clemson is a flashy offense that can't handle a top SEC team that knows how to play ball control. They beat LSU b/c LSU was not up for that crappy bowl (to their standards) and b/c Les Miles went full tard and called 3 straight passing plays with their scrub QB instead of running the clock out.
Johnny Dwight commits to Bama on 6/4/13 ranked the 44th DT in the nation by 247sports and 87 rating a 3 star. Now see the Bama bump.
Dawgs on Top!
Definitely come out and tailgate, then head downtown to celebrate after the game.
You might even make it to the Falcons game on Sunday!

Tickets can be had fairly easily on the bridge or on the main routes into town from the scalpers before the game. You can also usually get lucky if you know someone tailgating and pick up extras even at face value. Alas, my tickets will be in use.
