... by Mark Bradley from last night.
My thoughts exactly.
There are people who say that only championships matter, that finishing second is the same as finishing last. To those people, we say this: Go away now. Go

Fantastic article. Bradley can be a bit much sometimes but he was about as right as you can be with this article.
Just read it on the AJC. Almost could not believe Mark wrote this and thought it was an excellent column, well written. Did not hink he had it in him.
In locker room, I don't know if I've ever seen a team I covered take a loss this hard, including the coaches. Bobo was sitting there with kind of a blank stare. Grantham too. Just a rough thing, and it could have easily been the other team.
That felt like an NCAA tournament basketball game decided by a buzzer beater. Everyone is talking about how classic a game it was, but the losing team is absolutely crushed.
Anyway, glad to hear that students turned out to welcome them. That was a class move and these guys deserved it.

Good read G. Thank you.
I am amazed (well not really I guess) as some of the idiotic negative comments in the blog to MB's column. If you can't support your team after an effort like that, you need to do as MB suggested and "Go Away".
This loss does hurt badly, but just think how the players and coaches feel. They gave their all and just ran out of time.
"We just stepped on their face with a hobnailed boot and broke their nose! We just crushed their face!”
