We have a function to view the list of members in chronological order, and if you weren't the very first, you were dang close. I've noticed you listed on there many times.

BTW, is there a time requirement on the GATA?
Yeah, 12 months.
You're already well past the 500 posts.
That will be a nice Christmas present.
Most of the above comments, but in summary, you guys have not been complacent or stagnant or content with the present. You are always looking to improve and truly want to meet our wants and needs. Sometimes I can't believe how fast you guys crank the stories. VERY satisfied customer here!
The best thing Like about this site is your intellectual honesty about whats going on. If you dont know you will say. I like the way you protect these kids and anything you guys write you make sure it wont hurt the kids. I believe the icing on the cake is in the end you are extremely accurate because you do this the right way. I greatly appreciate you guys!
The lack of huckleberries talking trash.
edit: Hey, only 392 posts away from my 1892 Crew badge. Neat.

Once I found out what Lucky was cooking, i decided to hop on the bandwagon early.
I really like the game reviews with a play-byplay analysis of exactly what happend, i.e. why a play worked or didn't work, who made or missed a block, who missed an assignment or tacle, who got blocked out of a play, etc. I can't see much of that on TV and the announcers either can't figure it out or don't care.
I also really enjoy the comments by members on spscific players' skills
and, playmaking abilities (for example, your recent comment about the strength of Mason's arm while Murray is iyo more accurate). I also like the comments about stategy and how our plays/schemes are designed to work.
In short, I enjoy the meaty substance that I can't get anywhere else. That's why I'm still and shall remain a member.
Respect that everyone has for each other. Also you guys are on top of everything.
This. I like how all the writers work together. I also like the crystal ball feature, and think it'll only get better.
I know of Hershel, DawgPound, SnoopDawg, & crit. Winn is close to 34 because i remember him too. good times talkin dawgs in the summer of '10. mostly us griping about AJ's situation.
My first day on this beat was Sept. 1, 2010, the day of the Louisiana-Lafayette game. I literally had been covering practice and the Marcel Dareus suspension at Alabama less than 48 hours before that. I then drove to Atlanta on Friday and showed up at Sanford on Saturday morning.
Within 30 minutes of my arrival, UGA had announced that A.J. was suspended for the game and I was chasing down Michael Adams in the press box to get him to talk about it.
That's a heck of a way to the start a new job, I can tell you.
I wrote this column that day ...
Don't remember exactly how many total views it got that day, but it wasn't very many. I'd probably top it in about 10 minutes with any story I write now. When I think back, it really is amazing how far we've come as a site and a community in less than three years.
And the best really is yet to come.

Information was impossible to come by on all that, seems like it was nothing but rumors. I remember Rusty posting about our new beat writer and a bunch of bama guys coming over and bragging on you're work. That got me excited. I've loved you're insight on what you saw at Bama vs UGA. safe to say we've been spoiled by all you're hard work.
Miss Snoop's posts. Wish he was still around.
God needs a Safety on His team. RIP 21
Gentry, you called us the Dogs in your comment on that article...
You've come a long way.
Dawgs on Top!
Your information is as good and often better than the other sites -- I'm subscribed to several others. And the subscribers here at this point tend to keep it reasonably polite. Not a lot of name-calling.
The thing that really sets you apart is that you and Gentry work harder. The content on 247 is updated more often and/or new stories are posted more often. That means a lot. Several of the other sites post stories in the a.m. and not much changes the rest of the day. That's almost never true of 247. All the sites post when there's breaking news, but you guys post good information every day, several times a day, whether there's big news or not.
No matter when I'm checking in on recruiting sites, morning or night, I open 247 first. Always.
Finally, there's something about the writing style on this site -- it's a little less officious and self-important. It seems genuine and friendly. As does the terribly videographed Seth and Gentry show or whatever the name of it is.
I don't know if the other sites are packing a lunch, but if they are, you're eating it!
