and what he has been able to do at Bama’ and rightly so. He is successful and you can expect his teams to play at a certain level every time. He is a “process” guy. Me and a friend (LSU grad) were talking about this. Bama’ can win by 40 but if in the process they play like crap at stretches, he will focus on that. Now here is the thing people seem to forget about NS and Bama’.
Their “all in”. NS had COMPLETE control. Tuscaloosa PD etc...is “all in”.
CMR will NEVER be given complete control. The UGAPD and ACCPD targeted players. As a matter of fact they would sit outside the BM building to see who parked illegally and ticket them. Now with GM in place, things have gotten better. Oh why will CMR never be given complete control you ask?...Jan Kemp.
Remember this folks when you start wanting NS or his like. They will never come to Athens for this reason.
Our Administration is not "all in" and never has been. They want a guy who wins 8-10 games a year, is a good man, and is someone whom they can control. 80% is good enough for them.
"....All I ask is that he be loyal to Georgia, proud of that jersey, and try like the devil to win." --- Wally Butts
You are right in your first sentence but completely off in the rest.
The administration wants to be THAT university in the SEC that does things the right way. It's not about controlling a coach. They want to be that lighthouse program that follows the rules, sets the standards for moral and ethical play, etc.. UGA is an ACADEMIC institution first. They will not be a football factory.
Clearly, you disdain CMR which is your right. But this is not a CMR thing at all. This is a culture at the school we all love and the reality that they do not consider winning an MNC to be the main goal.
They don't care about control. They care that the kids are graduating, the coaches are doing their job, doing things the right way, winning more than losing, and that the players/coaches aren't putting a negative light on the university.
I disagree. I think it has a ton to do with control. The administration tries to do the right thing, but what they're doing isn't working. We are perceived as thugs because of all the arrests and suspensions we have every year. This simply is not true, but that is the perception. Hopefully there is a change when Adams finally leaves, but I am not holding my breath.
You still looking for Black helicopters and stuff right, LOL. If you checked, which obviously you and your co-conspirator haven't is that we have had our fair share of PD "incidents" that would make it clearly not "all-in". Good try though.
Once a Dawg always a Dawg...How sweet it is!
BS...I know for a fact that the UGAPD and ACCPD would look for football players. They would sit at and watch for anyone who didn’t stop at the stop sign at least 20 seconds and pull they over. They would sit and wait to see if ANYONE parked slightly out of a parking spot. How bout’ Jordan Love being arrested for misspelling his name? I could go one. It doesn’t happen at Alabama.
