Commit to Bama, that gives them 4 RB in this class if Henry stays at RB..Would Jones reconsider and maybe flip to UGA?I hope we are still staying in contact with him
i don't think we would take another RB. i would love to add TJ but i don't even know if he still has an offer or if we've even been recruiting him. Bama would have 8 RBS on scholly. the sad part is there is no way all 8 will travel with them during away games
With the loss of Boo,I really think we need another RB in this class..You can never have too much depth..We are an injury away from having some problems at RB..
Thats correct we would have alot on scholly but lets break this down.
1 True #1 coming back in TJ
2 RB's coming back off of major knee injuries(1 of those being an HB)
1 RB that saw decent playing time as a freshmen but no real big game experience. (drake)
That doesnt give us very much to work with. So we had to take alot of RB's in this class. Tyren Jones is probably the most ready for PT out of the 3 we currently have committed right now. Henry is a guy that the numbers just dont lie and he will get every chance to play RB. Tenpenny is probably the most likely to redshirt or he could decommit if we pick up Kamara(everything pointed to that Altee wont decommit) so in all reality these 3-4 guys will all have a very good chance to come in an not only play but 1 be a starter.
TJ Yeldon #1
Dee Hart #2 (maybe) major ACL problems in both knees)
Drake#3 (maybe but can easily get beat out)
Fowler will be HB with late game RB carries(major knee injury)
Henry could be an HB too ( so that give Kamara Tenpenney and Jones a ton to look forward to)
The way I look at it our #3 and #4 RB rotation spots are wide open right now and couple that with AK possibly being a Harvin type that plays RB and Slot that give Jones, Henry, and Tenpenny a chance to fill the other 2 RB spots. We are not as loaded on the RB front as everyone believes. Actually UGA is probably deeper than us to be honest.

no way are we deeper at that position! we have two sophs,1 incoming freshman,and...?????????????
you have 2 stud RB's that got tons of PT this year. We have 1 starter returning that is not coming off of MAJOR surgery man. You never know how those players will come back. Fowler will probably be fine but Hart has had 2 (yes 2) ACL tears in the past 24 months. Thats not an easy comeback even if you arent playing football. Now after NSD by numbers standards we will be deeper at the RB position but right now UGA has more depth and experience.
Yeah, we only have 2 Scholly RB's right now and one committed.
understood! but we are one injury away from being in serious trouble! so imo we need him more than you guys do!
I undertstand that, but my point was, as of RIGHT NOW UGA is deeper at the RB position.
We only have 1 starter returning that doesnt have medical issues (1 is an HB not even a RB)
Recruiting 3-4 RB's to UA was the plan all along. UGA def needs to get their share to have the depth they want and need.
i think '14 is when we will bring in 2-3 tbs. depending on what happens with kamara!
Drake will be the 7th string running back at Bama this year....
That's ridiculous, unheard of, unparalleled depth at the running back position. Doubt there's ever been a more talented 7th string back in the SEC. (8th string if you land Kamara.)

Appreciate the input. I presume you're using HB to mean "H-back" instead of "halfback"?
Born and bred Bulldog, living in Maryland since '88
"RIGHT NOW" means you have to already count D.Henry, since he's already enrolled
Point taken, though.
Yes H-Back. Fowler will be a full time H-back more than likely with this years signing class of Running Backs. That is where he makes the biggest impact. I wouldnt be surpised to see a rotation of H-backs with Henry, Fowler, OJ Howard. Maybe Henry stays at running back but this spring will tell. The guy is absolutely huge and would be an amazing specimen at H-Back. My projected depth chart
Howard(only because he can line up at TE)
