Only one man to be the head football coach at UGA. who would you take?
OAN: do u guys think Saban was the real reason urban myers left Florida?
Dead or alive? Erk Russell. Alive and still able? Tough one. Fantasy for selfish reasons? My dad. (He coached ball for 26 years) And yes, Urban ran screaming from Saban.
I think I'd still keep Richt, but someone who I think would be fun is Brian Kelly.
I think Urban left because he either 1) legitimately had health problems, 2)he just doesn't like staying at places long.
*Every time I play NCAA or Madden, I love sticking with a school as their "HC" for 3-4 dynasty seasons, and then I enjoy moving along. I know you cant really compare the 2, but some coaches enjoy change of scenery or a new challenge. Granted it seems like things were a little hairy down there in gainsville after Urban left, but I think that was one underlying reason he left. Its just like if you had a successful business that you ran out of your home (sales or what-not), and you could live wherever you wanted. I'm sure I'd move to 3 or 4 places before finally settling down.
urban quit because he reached the ceiling too fast. everything he did from that point forward would never have been good enough.
gruden. the passion, anger, and attention the detail is astounding.

Just for fun.....Chip Kelly.
You should preface this question with "besides Saban". He is the obvious answer. Best coach by far out there. Other than Saban, I really like Gary Patterson at TCU. He is a great talent evaluator, as well as doing an excellent job of developing and getting the most out of players. And I would say Bill Snyder if age weren't an issue. And I think Saban was a big reason for Myer quitting, as well as he knew he didn't have another Tebow.
YES! YES! YES! Totally forgot about him. Outstanding coach!
would def be a great choice. Would any of you guys be opposed to CMR maybe becoming an AD or something like that with UGA
Thats not going to happen. When he is done as the HC at UGA he will be step away for football for good IMO.
God needs a Safety on His team. RIP 21
As an AD, no--look how long it took to fire Willie. He promoted a video coordinator to strength coach, if I remember correctly. Just not real confident in his hiring/firing capabilities as a whole.
Maybe as a fundraiser. But I agree with others--he'd fit well in the ACC.
Patterson also had a drug ring being run by his players
If I had to pick one, it would be Nick Saban. I love the Harbaugh hire as a head coach, but I'm not sure about him as a recruiter. Yes he did an outstanding job at Stanford but he didn't have to engage in the arms war that is recruiting in the SEC. My guess is if you plug Harbaugh into the HC position and give him all the resources that CMR has at his disposal, the recruits would flock to Athens because of his energetic personality and NFL background. He has also shown that he can develop talent. My only question is can he recruit in the SEC. I have no questions about what I would get with Nick Saban...
And yes, Saban ran Meyer out of the SEC.
